"Moremogolo go betlwa wa taola, wa motho o a ipetla. [Translated Interpretation: Success is a self-led job.]" - Tswana Proverb

As part of my commitment to actively do my part in the advancement of the marginalized communities to which I have pledged my allegiance, I hosted a conversation series profiling 5 young Batswana on Facebook in March and April as a way to inspire and guide recent BGCSE graduates as they navigate their post-secondary education options. I was drawn to the idea because a lot of the students who decided to take me up on my offer of free advice as they applied to universities, asked the same kinds of questions. I felt that they could benefit from hearing the experiences of multiple people beyond myself and a live conversation on Facebook meant it could benefit more than just the students I was interacting with. These conversations were intended to form a limited series, but it was so well received that there have been requests for a season 2. Season 2 will feature young Batswana who are active in entrepreneurship, activism, and politics. It will most likely take place around June and July.
