gratitude wall

"We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives." - John F. Kennedy

True to my culture's roots, I was raised to know there are no self-made people. Our philosophy of Botho (or Ubuntu) loosely translates "I am because you are". I am setting aside this page as a token of my gratitude to all those who have brought me to this point. I recognize that there are far too many people who have played (and still play) a role in the making of Tumisang Ramarea for me to put them up here. Here are just a few outstanding ones, but my gratitude remains unbounded even for those who will not be featured on this page. Thank you for pushing me to be the best person that I can be and encouraging me to help make our world a home for others: from my teachers inspiring me to test the limits of my intellect, to my family providing a fairly stable foundation for my character, to my friends holding me accountable to my goals and dreams. Without you, my journey would not be possible. Upon my graduation from graduate school in 2021, I penned an extended gratitude note to some of the people who were instrumental in my academic journey.
