"Ubuntu - I am because you are"
The secret to the successes I have had thus far in life is in the community of people who have opened doors for me and allowed me to stand on their backs so I can see what the future could look like. It is the kindness of these individuals and institutions that inspire me to seek to open doors for others and let them stand on my back so they can see what the future could look like. It is my hope that through my personal example, I can inspire many others who come from similar backgrounds to dare to uplift themselves and their communities out of whatever circumstances life has dealt them. This section of my website celebrates communities and individuals who have contributed significantly to my journey. It also aims at sharing resources with those who could draw inspiration from my journey.
The Gratitude Wall is a non-exhaustive list of people for whom I hold a depth of gratitude. It is updated every 5 years and will be updated again in 2025.
The Memorial Wall celebrates the lives of those spirits that once touched my life but no longer walk in physical form amongst us. Is a testament of love and a public display of grief, for grief is meant to be a shared experience.
The Community Resources section is under construction and is intended to be a repository of opportunities that I think would be of help to my community and those who follow me.
Over the last few years, I have become something of a community builder for Africans in California. It started off with the Continental dinners in the Bay Area and continued when I moved to Los Angeles. In 2023, I helped put together a celebration for the 57th celebration of Botswana's independence for the Batswana in LA and surrounding areas.
